English: MULTI LANGUAGE OSD (ON-SCREEN DISPLAY)
Swedish: FLERSPRÅKIG OSD (ON–SCREEN DISPLAY)

Because the abbreviation should remain in English (OSD), shouldn't I keep the
English language also within parentheses? OSD (On-Screen Display)

This is how I would do it (and this is a common solution):
Flersprakig OSD (On-Screen Display - weergave op scherm)

(I don't speak Swedish, so I've used Dutch, but you'll get the idea)

However, it is important that you ask your client how he wants it - every client has his own ideas about this. Some clients don't want any translations at all for English terminology, others want everything translated. This is a matter of house style - do you have a style guide to refer to? Many clients have one.
If not, ask.

That's exactly what I would do.

May I suggest that you search site:se Jun 6, 2010

for "FLERSPRÅKIG" and "OSD"? You will find out that most sites say Flerspråkig bildskärmsindikering (OSD)... Best regards,

Teresa
