The following paragraph is from Translation: An Advanced Resource Book, page 51, published by Routledge. Can you clarify the difference(s) among linguistic textual factors and circumstances, extra-textual factors and historical-cultural conditions with each other by citing an example? I can distinguish between linguistic textual factors and historical-cultural conditions more or less but I can't find out the difference(s) between extra-textual factors and historical-cultural conditions.

Koller views equivalence as a process constrained on the one hand by the influence of a variety of potentially conflicting SL/TL linguistic textual and extra-textual factors and circumstances and on the other by the role of the historical-cultural conditions under which texts and their translations are produced and received.
