Dear all,

Besides Multiterm, can anyone recommend an affordable terminology administration tool?

Thanks!

Hi Jeff,

I thought of Excel too, but which pattern would you use in order to administrate all your terminlogy properly?

Regards

Estefanía

It you use SDLX: termbase Oct 27, 2004

If you use SDLX, it has a tool called termbase that works in a similar way to multiterm. You can have then a termbase for each client or field. Or just one where you specify those fields and then filter it, showing just what you need at that moment.

When you open and apply the termbase to the itd (the format in which you work with the text), an emerging window will appear showing you the equivalent of the words found in that particular segment.

Wordfast Oct 27, 2004

If Excel or Access don't fit the purpose (or if you lacking the skills to build such an appication), I would suggest Wordfast.
The file format in which Wordfast stores terms, phrases, words etc. is a tab-delimited (.txt) file; it can always be imported in almost any tool or database (and vice versa).
Give it a try, using the free downloadable trial version!

good luck
