While searching the Internet for a German medical abbreviations glossary, I came across this one:

http://www.physik3.gwdg.de/~guicking/abk-allg.ps

What do I need to have to read it?

TIA, Kim

PS stands for post-script Nov 15, 2004

Hi Kim,

That's a post-script file. I believe most PDF readers can read post-script.

Hope this helps.

Jason

a technical explanation of sorts... Nov 16, 2004

As everyone else already said, PS stands for PostScript, which is a printer language. A PS file is a "raw" file, "printed" by a PostScript printer to be converted to a final PDF file, which you can then open with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

You can open PS files with Adobe Acrobat Distiller, which processes them, and then converts them to PDF.

Hope that helps

Cheers!
María Teresa
