How to open trados files in WordFast

A client sent me some Trados TMs and it looks like I can't open those files in WF (I can only open .txt and .tmx files). Any idea? What can I do?

Sorry. I really didn't read your posting very well the first time around and see now that you have WF. So I'm assuming you tried selecting the file as the TM then clicking on the TM icon (Alt + M).

Someone with Trados must export the TM as .tmx Feb 9, 2006

Then Wf will open it and make a .txt-file out of it. TMW-format Trados TMs seem to be in compressed form and cannot be opened by other programs than Trados Wordbench.

You need the Trados export file (.txt) Feb 9, 2006

Hi,

You should ask your client to send you the export file of that TM, which is in *.txt format you can open in Wordfast.

P.S. You have received 5 files, as 1 Trados memory is made of five files, but this memory can only be opened in workbench.
