What is the difference between DTP, typesetting, and typewriting?

Wikipedia is a good source of information for questions of this sort.
Typwriting simply means producing documents with a typewriter, which is such a simple idea (and sufficiently outmoded in parts of the world where computers are ubiquitous) that it apparently doesn't warrant separate mention in Wikipedia.
Desktop publishing (also known as DTP) combines a personal computer and page layout software to create publication documents on a computer for either large scale publishing or small scale local economical multifunction peripheral output and distribution. Users create page layouts with text, graphics, photos and other visual elements using software such as QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, the free Scribus, Microsoft Publisher, Apple Pages and (to some extent) any graphics software or word processor that combines editable text with images.
Typesetting involves the presentation of textual material in graphic form on paper or some other medium. Before the advent of desktop publishing, typesetting of printed material was produced in print shops by compositors working by hand, and later with machines.
A typewriter is a mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic device with a set of "keys" that, when pressed, cause characters to be printed on a document, usually paper.
Noun 1. typewriting - writing done with a typewriter
