I want to translate some powerpoint files with Trados, but I get the message \"the presentation contains unavailable fonts\" \"unable to continue\". What can I do about this? Thanks for your kind help. Manuela

I had that same problem! Go to the \"Format\" Menu and change the fonts the program does not recognize (they are displayed with a ? next to them)

Since then, I have NEVER had any other problems with Trados and Powerpoint, it just works great. Monika

Thanks for your replies. But I still have the same problem. The only fonts I have on the documents are Arial and Times New Roman. No font appears with a question mark and I still get the same message. Any clue?

By any chance, did you get a message when you open the file indicating that the presentations contains foreign fonts? These fonts are sometimes hidden and are inserted when the presentation was produced in a PC with the International setting to Asia. In this case, I suggest downloading the Mincho font-set and installing it in your PC.
