Can anybody recommend a good German to English dictionary that covers ISO 9000 terminology?

I have some quality-oriented ones, but they are unsatisfying.

Thanks for any tips.

DIN EN ISO 9000, Ausgabe 2000-12 Apr 25, 2003

The ISO 9000 terminology is available in Europe in German, French and English in DIN EN ISO 9000, Issue 2000-12, from Beuth Verlag in Berlin (and probably in the USA too from whoever specialises there in international standards). The price here is Germany for this 3-language document is 101.20 Euros.

I havn\'t seen the document myself so I can\'t comment on value for money. My experience (as a former Quality Manager) is that these standards are always expensive. Maybe someone you know has a copy which they no longer need, or maybe your customer can buy a copy for you to ensure consistent use of the right terminology if you do a lot of ISO 9000-related work.

(then search for DIN EN ISO 9000)

Thanks Bob.

It does not appear that Beuth delivers to the USA. I have sent off an inquiry about how to get their stuff here. Hope it gets me what I want.

Albeit not a complete dictionary, http://www.din.de can be quite useful at times for English terminology. Just select the English button in the left margin.

Good luck!

Thanks, Sarah.

I had forgotten about DIN, and you are right, the English button would help. It is a rather clunky way to look up individual terms, though.

Thanks again.

BTW, Beuth got back to me and I can purchase the PDF file from Germany, so I will be pursuing THAT course.
