Ask Oxford website is very useful Oct 2, 2003

Hi Valentina,

I find the Ask Oxford website very useful:
http://www.askoxford.com/

You can put a word in the search box and if they have information, it will appear. You can also clic on the link Ask the Experts:
"We hope that you can find the answers to most of your language queries on site.

For questions about grammar try browsing the Jargon Buster which defines most grammatical terms and offers help with punctuation. Some of the most common language queries are answered in the Oxford Word and Language Service’s Frequently Asked Questions.

If you are stuck for what to call a group of swordfish or a gathering of gnats then browse our list of Collective Terms for animals."

My 10 year old daughter likes it too. She used the list of collective terms for her homework. It has such gems like a 'coffle of asses' (no joke!).

Have fun!
