Selim (Salim), Salem or Salam Apr 27, 2010

Hi Elodie,

Arabic names are often transliterated inaccurately, so Silem could really be Salim (usually pronounced Selim), Salem or Salam, all of which derive from the same root.

Salim and Salim both mean "safe", "unharmed", while Salam means "peace".
