Currently it handles TMX (tested with the varieties of Trados and Wordfast) and .po files used in l10n of free software products.

Tumatxa lets translators and institutions that manage big volumes of translated text manage memories, terminology and translations on a web-based environment, overcoming restrictions posed by generators of TM. Networks of translators have it easier to work together and share their efforts.

Memories stored at Tumatxa can even be consulted (to clear terminology doubts, for instance) without specific TM software, just making online searches.

Tumatxa is free software. But, BE AWARE, this is not a desktop application for the average Internet user. This is a web application, it runs on the Zope web application server on machines with Linux as its OS. Zope expertise is needed in order to install it on a WWW site or an Intranet.

Two demo repositories of this Zope product are available at the site Tumatxa.com, check them and enjoy.

Tumatxa has been developed by Codesyntax (www.codesyntax.com) a Basque company working with free software and language technologies.
