I have tested this programm and found out that it significantly reduces the usual loading time of Acrobat Reader when opening a PDF document. It can be used for Acrobat Reader versions 3.0 - 6.0.1.

but....
There are some things you can do in Reader itself to speed up loading, namely:

Get rid of the splash screen: Edit > Preferences > Startup > Display splash screen

Change settings in Edit > Preferences > Internet:

uncheck 'Display PDF in browser' and 'Check browser settings'. check 'allow fast web view'.

These work for me and have visibly, if not dramatically increased... See more

Before this programm, I used to get impatient while AR was loading all the plug-ins. Now I notice that I don't have to wait any more.

I have manually removed plugins that I don't need Feb 4, 2004

This has helped a lot.

Another thing that has helped, I don't know why, is opening an empty Reader window first and then clicking on the file.

The advices of Pavel were very good, the speed of Acrobate Reader nearly doubled.
