I find that agencies are increasingly sending their NDAs and other agreements in PDF format with the email message "please sign and return". Until now I've used CutePDF prof to do this, but it takes ages because it converts the PDF into a ghost image before you can edit it.

I discovered Iceni's Infix http://www.iceni.com/infix.htm after reading a thread on PDF editing solutions the other day (thanks Tomás for recommending it to Gail) and I'm pretty impressed. It is really quick to edit PDFs that come in text format and in the case of NDAs I can easily add an image with my signature using this application.

I've also experimented with the feature that lets you export the file in xml format so that you can translate in a CAT tool and then import it back into the original PDF afterwards. This is better than working on the PDF directly in Studio 2009 (for example) because it means you can edit and touch up the final version in Infix if needed.

It will be a useful application to add to my toolkit
