Thanks for the info, Nikita.
I've been using Grisoft's AVG Anti-Virus System for months now and been very happy with it. In those eventful few weeks of the recent MyDoom attack they were updating their database very frequently and I have, so far, escaped any infection.

Regards,
Ildiko

AVG rocks!!! :) Feb 29, 2004

Been using it for more than a year now, doing regular updates: not a single virus has managed to slip in so far... ahem... knock on wood...

My safety combo: AVG antivirus, ZoneAlarm firewall, and Ad-Aware. I don't think I'll be replacing any of them, at least in the visible future.

Hi invguy,

I would add Spybot - Search & Destroy to your set. It finds those pets that Ad-Aware doesn't and vice versa.

Nikita Kobrin

A friend of mine also swears by it. I'll definitely give it a try... I'm planning some 'spring cleaning' of my machine anyway
