Hello everyone,
I am a French/English medical translator. I have been doing translation of hospital records, laboratory reports, operative reports , informed consent and many other kinds of medical records.

I find agency work has rapid turnarounds and very little advance notice.

I have also become dissatisfied with the repetition and would like to move into translation of health articles with a more general scope.

Any suggestions as to how to do this

I had considered the medical forum, but decided against it.
Medical translators generally translate very technical articles and in the past I have not had any helpful replies from medical translators. I spent 20 years as a Registered Nurse so I do understand the field well.
I was hoping for a" health" as opposed to "medical" approach. My thinking is that the health field treats a broader scope of topics such as diet, exe

I was hoping for a" health" as opposed to "medical" approach. My thinking is that the health field treats a broader scope of topics such as diet, exercise, lifestyle etc. You would be correct in stating these topics are treated in medicine as well. Just looking for a broader approach.

Jessie
