May be you are referring to Sindhi language, a language of Sindh province in Pakistan. It's written in Arabic script. Sanskrit, the ancient Indian language is written in Deonagri script.

This Indo-European language (sometimes referred to as 'Panjabi') closely related to Hindi is used by the Sikh religious group in India. Could this be what 'Sih' refers to?
