It just made me laugh.

Of course, I also had an ulterior motive (don't we all?), which was to bounce my original post back to the top of the pile, and what better way to do that than with a "laughing Smurf", which, for reasons unknown to me, was the first thing that popped into my mind when running a Google image search, in search of something suitable.

So there you have it. I have revealed everything

Hi Michael,

Did you find anything new apart from the DGT update for 2014?

Kind regards

Noe

How many billion sentences would you have to have in a random TM Jul 21, 2015

before they made any difference in your translation?

A veritable terminology trove Jul 21, 2015

I don’t use these big resources to pre-translate my projects or to try to get meaningful fuzzy matches in my CAT tool; I primarily use them for concordance purposes, and/or to look up terms in (in TMLookup). For these purposes, these massive collections are a veritable treasure trove.

I made a quick screencast to show you how I use TMLookup to search for terms and phrases when translating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8Qzn0-_LhM

We are offering ready to use TMs, Glossaries and Autosuggest databases in more than 300 language pairs (most of them for free). They can be downloaded at https://alexandria-translation-resources.com/resources-for-translation-providers/
