March 1954

I need the English translation of this Convention. The only reference I could find is a broken link.
http://hcch.e-vision.nl/index_en.php?act=conventions.publications&dtid=21&cid=33

Please help me! This is urgent.

Dan

various possibly helpful links Feb 25, 2005

Are any of these links helpful? They seem to contain a lot of text-via-links referring to this convention (and others)

I know, that's why I am looking for a translation. I know there is one, but I cannot find it. Maybe because the convention is no longer valid?

The translation can be found here:

- American Journal of Comparative Law, Vol. I, 1952, p. 282.

- Journal du Droit international (Clunet), 1960, p. 590.

- United Nations Treaty Series, 1958, No 4173, p. 267

but I don't have access to any of these sources I'm afraid.

I'm still hoping though.

Parts may be amended Feb 25, 2005

but it seems valid and is cited as reference (see EU civil procedure working papers, for ex.)

What I understand by "was only drawn up in French" is that the original used (and signed) was the French version. There may be other translations, but they would serve at best as working copies. It would not be the only convention in one official version. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...
