Hello everyone,
I am doing a PhD at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, on the translation of judgments. I am having problems in finding material to do my research on.
Has anyone translated judgments? If yes, could you send them to me? You'd be quoted only if you want.
Please, only if the SL and the TL are both in this list: EN, FR, DE, IT, SPA
More details on request.
Many thanks
Davide

Hi there,
I have translated many, but will need some time to find them in my brilliant system of saving files. I translate from French to English.

Why do you need them by the way?

Mary

Thanks Jun 3, 2005

Thank you so much Alexandra, the site is fantastic!

Mary, I am trying to research how some translation theories have been applied to the translation of judgments (consciously or unconsciously) by the translators. I am now looking in particular at Katharina Reiss' theories.

Many thanks again,
Davide

Unfortunately, after looking for some judgements, I have realised that the judgements were on paper only, not Word files, and I have not kept them. Sorry. I have only saved the English translations.

European Court of Justice Jun 5, 2005

Unfortunately my TL is not on your list. But still I can help a bit. You can find translations of judgments of the European Court of Justice at:

http://jurisvista.taiex.be/

They are FR and EN.
If you want I can send you a couple of CELEX numbers to make your search easier.

Regards,

Joanna
