Hello everyone,

I've found this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_country_names_in_various_languages_(A-C)

A brief search shows this resource has not been posted here yet. It's very useful, bearing in mind the usual reservation of Wikipedia's alleged unreliability.

And not just the list. Using the search feature, you can get full details of the country concerned, and even of countries that no longer exist, like Gondwanaland and Laurasia.

Mostly independently of Wikipedia I compiled an English-Polish list of countries. The zip ( http://syntax.webline.pl/countries_ENPL_glo.zip ) contains a plain text tab separated file and a TMX file (for SDLX and Heartsome XLIFF Editor, respectively). If you want to get it into trados Multiterm, there a macros to take care of that, when you import the text file into Excel.

Piotr
