Go to stevemiller.net/apps/ and get a useful tool: PureText 2.0.
PureText 2.0 is a freeware program that can make your life easier, enabling you to paste text void of any formatting. After installing PureText, a small "PT" icon will be displayed in the Taskbar. When you copy text to the clipboard from a web page or a Windows application, you can use this icon to convert it to plain unformatted text, then paste it into the application of your choice.

very helpful really Oct 25, 2005

Hello Luis,

It's a very useful and helpful tool.
The good thing is that it works with the non-latin-based languages, such as my native language, Arabic.
This tool will save a lot of time one spends on removing formatting, tables, charts, pictures, etc.

Thank you very much for sharing!

Waleed

I have this action assigned to Alt+V. Believe me - it is VERY helpful... With Trados it is sometimes a must!

AndoTools has a button for this Oct 26, 2005

The suite of tools called AndoTools has a button for that on the toolbar. When enabled, copying using Ctrl+V will copy without formatting, but any other method of copying will copy formatted text.
