Ernst update: is it really essential?

I have the earlier version of the ERNST dictionary on a CD. In addition I also have the dictionary of Telekommunikation by BRINKMANN.
On reading the info about the Ernst update given on the website of various dealers, I see that most additions made to the ERNST in its update version are from the field of IT and Telecommunications.

So if anyone has used the Ernst Update, may I ask if it is really necessary to buy the Ernst update, when I already have Brinkmann??
