I do a lot of work in art and art history, and came across this wonderful resource. The title is \"Pigments in paintings: how artists have colored our lives\"

Once you get past the homepage, it lists each color with an intro and explanation. When you open the drop-down menu of \"jump to pigments\", you simply pick your color and there you have an overview, history, how the pigment is made and technical information.

Hope you find it helpful!

Very good reading :-) Dec 22, 2002

Good morning,

Thank you very much for the link!

I paint when I have a bit of spare time (oil on canvas), and this is very good reading.

Happy holidays!

Nath
