I would like to know if anyone knows a good German monolingual dictionary on the web.
In English I use the Merriam-Webster, and something like that in German would be what I'm looking for.
Thank you very much
Violeta

Do you know the DWDS? I use it sometimes when I do not have my Wahrig at hand. It is not so update, but it has some features such as the corpus search which are useful sometimes. Here's the link: http://www.dwds.de
Hope that helps Chiara

In addition to the site mentioned by Chiara, I quite often use http://wortschatz.uni-leipzig.de/ - particularly when I'm looking for German synonyms to avoid repetion of certain frequently occuring words.
