After upgrading to WindowsXP SP2, some older software-packages refuse to work and the following message appears:
"The system files is not suitable for running MsDos and MsWindows applications".
The option "Choose Close to terminate the application" also pops-up.
From a search on the Microsoft website it appears that you have to change some parameters in config.sys and autoexec.bat.
I did so, restarted the system, but the same message appears?
Does anyone knows a solution to this problem?

What software packages? Apr 6, 2005

You may want to check whether the software providers for the particular software packages offer a solution.

Some old programs to learn maths, an old version of Le Robert.... These programs used to work under a 16-bit OS.
