Hello,

I've just translated a 58-slide PowerPoint file using Wordfast alongside in a Word document. The PowerPoint file itself looks fine, everything that should be in it is in it, the only problem is I can't clean up the Word file. It gets as far as 100% and then Word crashes. I have Wordfast 5.53.
Do I actually need to clean the Word file, since the client is only interested in the presentation? I've viewed the .ppt on slide show and it looks fine to me, but are there hidden tags on that file that may cause problems later?
The translation is due tomorrow and there's no technical support line (!) on the Wordfast site.

Thanks for your help!

You don´t need to clean up the bitext (Word) file.. Jun 3, 2009

...unless you have made changes on the Word file, after producing the ppt, that you want to be reflected in the TM .

As far as it looks OK both in the presentation View and in the slide-by-slide view, the translated Powerpoint presentation is a final product as far as it concerns to WF, and does not contain WF or Word related tags.

saludos

oh thank goodness! The Word file looks a mess but the .ppt is basically as I want it, give or take a few adjustments to the formatting.

Thanks for your reply!
