Hello everybody,
I have a problem with Wordfast professional 6 - It used to work generally quite well,
no real problems so far, except some shortcuts...
Yesterday Wordfast suddenly didn't open any more. I reinstalled the program and checked the "maintain project folders and glossaries" option.
The trouble is, I can't find the glossaries - I tried creating a new one and I searched for this new one in the folder Wordfast indicates - I can't find a file by that name in that folder-
the glossary does work though.
So where are my glossaries?
Do I have to export them every day or so in order not to lose anything or do they exist -
"hidden" somewhere?
Does anybody know about that, it would also help me to know what the file ending is -
.txt ?

Thanks a lot for your time

Nothing... Jun 10, 2009

Thank you Edward for your reply...
Unfortunately I can't find one single file like that on my computer...
The glossaries could be easily found with the old classic Wordfast version - it was as you said something like WfMemory.Itx...Now with the new version nothing...

Hi Julia,

There is no physical glossary file created. If you need a physical glossary file, you will need to export it. However, when you reinstall Wordfast you can always open them by going to terminology > new/select terminology > open and look for the symbolic name. And if you need to edit the glossary you can do so using the glossary editor inside Wordfast.
