Hi,

I have just received an exported txt memory file - formerly tmw from Trados.

When I try and attach it to Wordfast - the memory file gets wiped clean and is void of any translation units.

Does anyone have any idea why?

When opening it thefirst time I am asked to save it as Unicode. I do so - the data exists. After attaching to Wordfast it is wiped empty...

Thanks!

Alicja

Of course, it will! Aug 20, 2009

This is what should be actually. Trados’ .txt TM file is a totally different thing as Wordfast’s .txt TM. That’s why WF, having detected a faulty TM from its point of view, re-writes it as an empty file. Use TMX for exchange, refer to respective sections of Trados and WF manuals.
