apologies for cross-posting! Dear All, I use wordfast (5.70t) in virtual box (v 3.1.2) on my iMac (10.6.2) I am trying to update my TM based on a cleaned text with client modifications. When I try to filter out redundancies, TM editor tells me I have XXX number of redundant TUs, but I cannot tell which ones are redundant because they are not ticked on the Mac!! How do you Mac users get rid of redundant TUs in Wordfast??... See more apologies for cross-posting! Most probably your Wf, despite being installed into a Windows virtual environment, ie. a fully operational one, behaves as though made of wood. Very unusual. You might install the very latest version of it. Also, check whether your licence is operative, and if it is, whether it functions or not. Another more than elegant and professional solution is to use Okapi Olifant tm editor and alligner, the one made for Windows, the latest version. I'm saying this because the project is now fully ported on Java platform, but Olifant under Java still is not ready, I'd say. For Olifant, you'd need to install the NET framework by MS, first: I have no idea which version, but I'm sure not the latest one (3+), version 2 most probably. Be careful when using new software, work on copies. With Olifant you will be able to choose to clean duplicate source only, or dupl. targets only, and so on, to clean unnecessary tag leftovers, and much more. Thanks very much, Dragomir. I'm using a beta version with a license. But I am going to check if using the most recent public release resolves the issue: thanks for that idea. As for Olifant, can I easly import Olifant TMs back into WF? Bonnie | | | Ctrl+D - Change Font | Jan 25, 2010 |

Dear Bonnie, Try to press Ctrl+D on your keyboard to see the checked entries only. Pressing Ctrl+D again will display all the entries again. One question please: can you check any entry manually? If not, what is your MS Word version? While the Data Editor is open, press F6 on your keyboard. A dialogue will appear allowing you to change the font used in the Data Editor. Type the name of any font other than Tahoma, say: Times New Roman > OK. Now, see if you can check and see the checked entries properly. I hope this helps. Please let me know. --- Best regards, Yasmin Moslem Wordfast Support Team www.wordfast.com | www.wordfast.net

Olifant TMs back into WF? | Jan 25, 2010 |
bonniejane wrote: As for Olifant, can I easly import Olifant TMs back into WF? Bonnie more than that; you can import external TMs received in several different formats, and transform them to Wf format, and switch between TMs to Glossaries and vice versa, in Olifant. However, better check all the possible causes, and follow Yasmin's suggestions. Afterwards, a tool or two more, would always be useful. D P.S. You speak about 5.70 beta? What a beta should be of any use to you, sorry? Then, better install the latest stabile version, from Wf site, 5.61K, better. Who knows..

Thanks, Yasmin for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't work! I'm curious to know if other Mac users have this pb. On the upside, Olifant works great!
