WF Classic & Word 2007 - can't select TM or glossary

For some time I've been happily using WF Classic with Office 97 (in Windows XP) as my standard word processor. I also have Office 2007 on my computer, so I recently set about trying to get WF to work with that as well. I have succeeded in installing it in Word 2007 (I got the "Congratulations - successfully installed" message and now have the WF toolbar under Add-ins) - but if I try to start using it, it won't let me select a TM and glossary to use. Trying to select a TM brings up the message "Run-time error 6068. Programmatic acces to Visual Basic Project is not trusted".

Does anyone know what the solution to this one is?

I think it may just be as simple as changing your Word 2007 security settings.

Office button - Word 2007 - Confidiality Center - Settings button - check the box that says "approve access to VBA"

(menu titles translated from my French version)

Brilliant - yes, that works, Lori. Many thanks - I would never have hit on it myself.

For the record, the exact path on my computer is:-

Microsoft Office button
Word options (button at bottom right)
Trust Center
Trust Centre settings
check the box beside "Trust access to the VBA project object model"

Once again, many thanks for your help.

Value of range when selectin TM Jul 6, 2011

I have a similar problem using Office 2002 and Wordfast 6.01.

When I click SELECT TM I get the same error 6068, but with the message "value out of range"

I tried the security solution as suggested here, but it didn't solve the problem.

Please help if you can

Thank you

Inacio

Try deleting wordfast.ini, as runtime error 6068 is often caused by a corrupt .ini. See:

None of the suggestions did help me.
Only replacing manualy the path in wordfast.ini each time I need to change the TM.

Cannot change or select TM Sep 23, 2011

inacio - I was wondering whether you had any luck? I am having the same problem, a different run time error number (4806) but still "value out of range".

Did you manage to solve it or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

Fionna

"value out of range" can indicate a deeply rooted problem Sep 26, 2011

Inacio did manage to solve his problem... by reinstalling Windows (in his case, XP). See http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/wordfast/message/79283 (and other posts in the same thread) for the murky details.
