How to make Quick Diff work in Wordfast Pro 2.3

It's there - it seems to be enabled - but nothing happens.

I have found out, that when I am in the text layout, I can right click in the leftmost column and chose to enable or disable Quick Diff, and here I can actually see a little something happening - a white, empty column is inserted when I enable Quick Diff, but nothing I do can make any colour show up in this row.

How do I use this feature??
