Dear Colleagues

I've recently bought Wordfast Pro, which was needed for a large project. Now I am using it for another job in order to fully evaluate it against SDLX, which is the tool I commonly use. I have got two major questions:

1) Is there any tool to see the number of untranslated words? I can't find it.
2) Is there a way to quickly jump to untranslated segments or view them?

Thanks in advance,

sabina

Open the text in the TXML perspective, click on the Windows menu>Show view>Outline.
This will open a panel on the right. Untranslated segments (in fact segments that are not committed to the assigned TM) are marked with a white box, translated segments with a coloured box (the colours depend on the % of matches with your TM etc.)

but is there a way to jump directly to them, instead of scrolling a list of some 5'000 segments (with the risk of skipping them)?

Sabina

Thanks Sabina. Good question, I don't think so: there is a scroll down menu that allows you to filter the TUs according to a number of criteria (100% match, modified etc.) but this one!!
I hope I'm wrong though!

You can identify untranslated parts using Transcheck but it's even more complicated and it does not fit your need at all.
