Hello everyone,

I have Worfast 4.22k and Plustools 4.16.
I have received from my client a TM.txt exported from Trados. When I open it in my Worfast, it converts it and the output for Russian target text looks like this:

RU-01 РћР±Р° СЌС&'82;Рё СЌР"РµР&'BC;РµР&'BD;С&'82;Р° Р&'BC;Р&'BD;РіСѓС&'82; РїР

I am really at loss, please help!

You’d better share the file or a part of it to see what’s the problem. It looks like your file is encoded in UTF-8 and your version of WF is way too old to understand it. Try opening it in any good text editor and resaving as cp1251. Or upgrade to WF 5.x/6.x.

have no such issues either, so it should be something related to the txt file type saved as different encoding (while Unicode is required). Perhaps, re-saving txt would do?

I tried using APSIC Xbench and it converted txt to a tmx but Worfast stalls when trying to open it. The client luckily send me a TMX TM and it resolved all problems.
