I think this might be a "request": when I receive large jobs with many individual txml files (or other files), it would be helpful for the planning of my job to have an overview of the word count of the individual files.
Trados provides this in a log when you analyze multiple files, while Wordfast only gives a total for all files together.

I believe I have read somewhere that the PM version of WFP does analyze individual files. I think however that this feature should be made available to translators as well. I use this information to decide about the files I will start with, and it helps me keeping track of how fast I am working and how much more I still have to do. It is also helpful to know which files contain matches and how well (fast) I am working with matches.

Is there any hope that we will get this with in a future release?

Regards,
Lianne

WfC does it Oct 25, 2012

WfC can analyze and provide stats for all open files. Works fine, with results usually quite close to those provided by Trados.

To get analysis for individual files, simply do this:
1. On the Analyze pane, enable “Output in comma separated format” in the low right corner.
2. Browse below to the analysis file, in which you want WF to save analysis for you.
3. Run analysis.
4. Open the generated analysis file. Make sure to open it with tabs as separators.
5. Now you have a detailed analysis for individual files.

Best wishes,
Roman

I just want to stress the fact that there is no different versions of WFP anymore, and there is no such PM version. There is only one license type for all users of WFP, and it makes all the features available.

Thanks to Roman for the helpful answer.

Kind regards,
Yasmin
