WF classic to WF Pro migration: Installation problem

I am an experienced Wordfast Classic user, and have been trying to install Wordfast Pro for a couple of days now (using Windows 7).

Every time I download the exe-file and open it, I get an NSIS Error: "Installer integrity has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy."

I have tried everything I could think of, but no luck: I emptied the cache, turned off my antivirus, etc. The file does appear to be complete (it shows the Wordfast icon).

Worfast customer service does not reply my e-mails.

Installing Wordfast Pro on a Mac was no problem.

I hope someone can help me.

NSIS developed the "envelope" that contains the software you are attempting to install, not the software itself. NSIS is an open-source community that develops the software which installs software. This allows any software developer, including you, to use NSIS to ease the process of installing software. The problems you are having involve an outside party modifying the installer and is beyond NSIS' control.

Clean boot may help Aug 28, 2013

I have tried everything in the first and the third link, but I haven't tried the clean boot yet (second link). I'll do that to see if it works.

I do find it somewhat worrying that Wordfast has still not answered my messages about this problem.

Can you check the size of the installer vs. the file size listed on the wf.com website?

If the clean boot doesn't work, I can try placing the installer on an FTP site for you and see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you for your reply.

The installer file is 158 MB, as is the file on the website. At first sight, it looks all right (it shows the Wf-logo, for instance).

I used the contact form on your website, once the form in the public website, once in the login part. I'll send you an e-mail from the same address.

I would very much appreciate if you could put the file on an FTP-site.

Problem solved Aug 29, 2013

None of the NSIS-related pages helped to solve the problem, but we did find a way to install the file in the end, in part thanks to Wordfast customer support (thank you Krystina!), who have been most cooperative.

It turns out my company's server were at the root of the problem.

Now I can start playing with Wordfast Pro...
