I exported a file using bilingual export, copied it to my lap top, worked on the translation and now want to import the changes to word fast pro back to the desktop. The exported file ended up with a .doc.txml extension. How do I go about importing the work? Thank you

Just open the txml file Jul 2, 2014

Hi! You can simply open the txml file. When running Wordsfast on your PC, make sure you open also the TM your created for the project and that you have the original files in the same folder. WF will ask you to choose the original file to continue working. Otherwise you won't be able to save the changes you make. BTW, it's not necessary to create a bilingual file to work on a different laptop/pc as the txml file is enough to do so, especially if the file has been already translated and finished.

I hope it works well!!

The source is being imported too Jul 2, 2014

Thanks, I tried opening the bilingual txml file in word fast pro, but it opens all the automatically generated comments, plus the source and target language as if it were a new text to translate. I just need to copy in the extra segments translated.
