I opened up Word this morning to find that the Wordfast toolbar had completely disappeared. When I checked options/add ins it was displayed in the general list, but not in the word add ins section, which I usually use to restore it when this happens. Grateful for any help on this one!

Norton? Jan 8, 2015

Are you using Norton Internet Security, by any chance? If so, have a look at this:

Another possibility is that the Wordfast template was added to the list of disabled items. If so:

Same happened to me Jan 8, 2015

Interestingly, exactly the same thing happened to me today. I went to use Wordfast Classic and it simply wasn't there - I couldn't find wordfast.dot or any reference to it anywhere on my computer. I tried a system restore to a date a fortnight ago, but that did nothing. Eventually I downloaded WF again from the website and after a bit of a tussle that is now working.

Dominique's message is interesting as I think I did get a Norton message yesterday about a "threat" from W97M.Downloader.A - at the time I ignored it as I had no idea what it was referring to, but I have now followed all the instructions in Dominique's link so hope that has cracked it. Thanks, Dominique.
