I am just trying to get started with html translations, using wordfast 4.22. I have installed the wordfast plus tools.
I start by copying the entire html-sourcetext into a word document.
Then I select Wordfast and the Plus-Tools from the Extras-Menue & create a TM. When starting the translation session I get the message that this document should be tagged, I agree and after that Wordfast starts a translation session, but instead of text I can only see squares and other odd signs.
Does anybody know this Problem?
Thanks so much,
Tanja.

Please read the plustools doc-file Jan 25, 2005

It's explained in the plustools.doc file. I have no experience with this kind of files, but perhaps you should try again according to the manual.

Heinrich

Don't copy the text to Word Jan 25, 2005

Hi Tanja,

You shouldn't copy the text to Word. Open the HTML docment and open Word. Start a Wordfast session in an empty Word document. You better read the manual before proceeding.

Regards,
Gerard

A free alternative Jan 25, 2005

A free alternative to using Wordfast on html-files is Cat's Cradle, where you work directly on the html-file. (ie. you don't risk Word changing the html code).

http://www.stormdance.net/dx/catscradle/overview.htm

I never use anyting else with html.
