Hello mates. I need some help with Wordfast Classic.

I created a glossary in Excel, with 2 columns, and then I converted it to .txt

Here are some examples of my entries:
a sua máxima de vida* el lema de su vida
a terminar* a punto de acabar
acima de tudo* sobre todo
acompanhada acompañada

So, this glossary is for PT-ES translations. The problem is that when I activate this glossary in Microsoft Word, through Wordfast, it doesn't work properly. It recognizes some terms, but the majority of them are ignored and I don't understand why.

Can someone help me please? Thank you

You did use the tab key between the source text term and the target text term, didn't you?

Yes, I did. I really don't understand.

I've tried using "*" at the end of the entries or "|" between words and nothing happens.

ascii vs utf vs unicode Nov 9, 2017

Not sure about Spanish, but I had much fuss regarding Russian/Ukrainian garbled glossaries in wrong formats.

Could you check the encoding?

The format is in txt unicode. Is it normal to have this kind of trouble?

I can't tell about Spanish Nov 10, 2017

In my language pair (with Cyrillic) I often had problems with corrupted formats, wrong codepages and encoding (mostly re-converting Win-XXXX, UTF-8/16, Uni via NotePad++ or SynWrite).

However, could you share with other users how you have coped with the problem?

I simply reinstalled the program... I don't know if it had something to do with the version or not, but now it is working just fine.
