I have conducted freelance interpreting assignments, through the NRPSI principally concerned with assignments from the Metropolitan Police Service, Her Majesty’s Courts Service and the London Probation Board. I have interpreted during trails including those requiring ‘special measures’ and hearings at Coroners Court, Magistrates Court (including Family Division) well as facilitating interviews with solicitors and legal teams prior and post court proceedings.
I was employed as a Polish interpreter with a London based translation service agency. I was principally engaged with assignments within the Public Service Sector including various Governmental Service Departments such as those incorporated within The Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue and Customs and NHS Trusts.
In addition to the above, I have undertaken a number of short individual freelance assignments most noticeably within the media sector such as BBC Radio 5 and Newsnight Programmes in the UK. I was engaged as a freelance journalist and Polish interpreter for the principal Polish daily newspaper in the UK . My role involved producing articles with a social element involving life in the UK for Polish people. Whilst in Poland, I was the producer host and director of a weekly customer rights programme for a regional television company in Poland. The role incorporated developing suitable topics for broadcast and then identifying and interviewing suitable individuals for an open forum discussion.
