Na verdade sob "krehlen" você pode capinar, limpar (a plantação) ou arrancar as ervas daninhas, cortar os ramos secos ou supérfluos etc.
Mondar ou sachar são palavras corretas, mas que ninguém usa no Brasil. (Não sei se são comuns em Portugal). Dependendo do contexto, usaria uma palavra mais coloquial.
