Term is used several times in the same doc and need to know the exact translation. I have no 'natural feel' for this sort of terminology and even if my guess turned out to be correct (unlikely), I wouldn't be able to judge that on my own. Fwiw-my 100% guess is class reserve.

context:
.... toe te rekenen deel van die aan de aandelen verbonden *Soortreserve* ...

... waarde van de geplaatste aandelen van de betreffende soort en de daaraan verbonden *Soortreserve*

following Jarry's correct disagree, there is a possibility that this is a type of 'share premium reserve' which is an item of the shareholders' equity in the balance sheet's liabilities [and equity]section, where premiums paid in excess of a share's face value are accounted for

disagree  jarry (X): Sorry Dave, but your references and suggested answer are not convincing. I do not believe it is a standard English term. In addition, we are not even sure exactly what "soortreserve" means. 'Share premium account would be a very different kettle of fish.

-> Hoi Jarry - see new note (:-{)>// another new note = perhaps it is a misnomer for agio reserve

neutral  Ken Cox: Not being overly burdened by a knowledge of the subject, I wonder whether this simply means a 'designated reserve' (i.e. a particular type of reserve) - in the case of the provided context the reserve related to shares (whatever the proper name might be)
