Suguru, Masaru, Takashi, Masari, Satoshi, etc... Explanation: (Also Shun, Toshi~, Yoshi~)... according to P.G. O'Neill's "Japanese Names" (Weatherhill, Inc. 1995) I guess you're in a situation where you're unable to verify this with the client?? Do you also have this person's family name? If so, you could try googling the family-given name combination together with some of the above names in hiragana. Hopefully, that would turn something up. Apart from that, names, localities, etc. could all influence which reading would be more common for that individual... Good luck, conejo-san!! |
