I don't really get what they mean by "performance compliance window". Can someone please explain? TIA.

For example:
The astronomers have a window of 14 days to observe the moon of the planet before it moves behind the planet and you can't see it anymore.

Another example:
A customer made a difficult request to a supplier on Nov. 20, requesting that the supplier comply with the request by Nov. 24. The time between Nov. 20 and Nov. 24 would be called a "window"... The supplier has that much time to comply with the request or miss the deadline.
