One of the parties is represented by a lawyer at the Notary office where this public deed decreeing dissolution of marriage and property settlement is drawn up. At the end the deed states
"Manifiesta el apoderado que su apoderante se encuentra viva a la fecha de hoy y el poder esta vigente".
If 'apoderado' is legal representative (the translation is for British authorities so I want to avoid using the term attorney), then 'apoderante' is ... client?
Does anyone have alternative suggestions?
