and title it "Lucia's Lament" and, yes, play the violin! It took so long to comprehend that Czechtrans is right. Nobody does this stuff for free. Why is it that musicians and artists often do plenty of extra work at no charge? It's simply is the way of the world, isn't it? When this project is finished I'll send you all an .mp3 or two of the music YOU translated thus far for me, when we finish arranging it so that you know that at least a few folks in the states, who have little known the beauty of music from your part of the world, finally get another glimpse of some of it. Yes? No? No. Are you translating a two-page document and can't seem to find the right equivalent to a 10-word expression? Cool with KudoZ. Are you working on a 50-page document and just can't translate these 25 8-word expressions? Cool with KudoZ. Are you anxious to understand the lyrics of a song (over 10 words long) in a language you do not speak? Hire a translator. Some might even do it in exchange for your services, whatever they are.

Why we should "to" it for free? (Or is that "do" it for free?)
Please forgive me in that perhaps I don't really understand how the system works. I was under the impression that it is an option to pay as long as a certain number of questions are asked in a certain amount of time so I took advantage of the opportunity and nobody before you said anything. I understand there are professional translators, but there seem to be a number of people who do this for their own edification if not for points, but again, I could be entirely wrong in assuming this. I don't want to offend anyone, but I don't have the bucks to pony up money for a Mercedes or this.

Maybe you should ask somebody to translate the whole song and pay for it, or come with a good story, why we should to it for free.
