Hi Gerald,

"Support base" is a pretty chokuyaku rendition of the kanji, but this seems to indicate the section of the chair frame that supports the actual seat section (ie. supporting the user's rear end ;-) )

wrong kanji -> 敷きカバー？

Explanation:
The term 敷きカバー is very common. Could it just be a typographic error?

this would refer to some protective covering - the fabric that covers the foam seat cushion, for instance. In my experience it usually refers to a removable, washable cover of some sort, as opposed to being an inseparable part of the seat itself.
