Inspiré du vent de liberté que Gotllieb a fait souffler sur les cases de ses BD, le Cabaret de l’académie fratellini ouvre les malles de son grenier imaginaire. Absurdes, loufoques, décalés, les circassiens déjantés invitent les musiciens débridés des Alcolytes à sortir du cadre, à briser les bulles, à froisser les pages. Comme la fameuse coccinelle qui hantait tous ses albums, notre fil rouge sera sourire et dérision, énergie et impertinence...

I assume (but perhaps am not loufoque, décalée or déjantée enough) that the characters may burst the speech bubbles...
in fact you could also say "burst the speech balloons"

Explanation:
I like both Katsy's suggestions but was just thinking that they maybe used "briser" in Fr as in "briser les tabous" - in which case it might be a good idea to use "break".
