Spanish term or phrase: dirección / sentido
I have problesm to distinguish these two words:
way / direction. The phrase I have to translate is: "con dos flechas de la misma dirección pero de sentido contrario". I have translated: "two arrows with the same way but in opposite direction"
But I´m not native and the dictioanries give these 2 words as synonyms. THANKS for your help.
Frank
directions
Explanation:
With two arrows along the same way but pointing in opposite directions.

They are synonyms, that's the problem, but if you say it like this it becomes a bit clearer.

Explanation:
well, I can tell you what do they exactly mean in Spanish, and then you can try to figure out how to translate them. I remember from when I was getting my driving license that, if you take a road (say, from Barcelona to Madrid) that road has one "dirección", but two "sentidos" as people can travel from Bcn to Madrid or the opposite.

In english i would probably still use "direction" and 'senses", although i'm not sure.
