Habitual=common=usual=recurrent=repetitive=customary, etc. Take your pick according to source's context and stay as close to it as possible. The translator must transfer the message from a language to another in the most proper way, within context, without editing or altering the text. All 4 definitions quoted by Mr. Russi qualify "habitual" to be used in this context albeit its not so common use. "Not too common" does not equate with "incorrect. " Furthermore, you are translating for a broader group of readers, so the terms used must, still within context, be as universal as possible.

I disagree, Hasirb. For a start, "habitual" as such is not too commonly used in English and much less "habitual consultation".

"Consulta" es una pregunta específica hecha por el paciente al médico. "Cita" no es una consulta sino la hora asignada al paciente para hacer la consulta. "Habitual consultation" es una expresion universal en Inglés y puede ser comprendida en este contexto en cualquier pais de habla inglesa, aunque pueden haber expresiones diferentes, adicionales, localmente.

Hay que aclarar, ¿aquí "consulta" es una pregunta específica o una cita para ver el médico? También sería bueno saber para qué país es la traducción.
